Linda Adato was born in England and studied at Hornsey College of Art, UK. She immigrated to the United States in 1962 and went to the University of California at Los Angeles, where she received a MA degree in Art Education.
Adato has exhibited her prints throughout the United States and abroad. Her work is in the collections of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts of The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, British Museum, DeCordova Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts, Duxbury Art Complex Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Mississippi Museum of Art, New York Public Library and other public and private collections. Among her awards are those from the National Academy of Design, NYC, Boston Printmakers, Audubon Artists and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, Norwalk, CT.
Linda Adato was president of SAGA from 2007-2010.
