Joanna Klain is known for black and white intaglio with recognizable imagery utilizing dramatically patterned spaces. Recent prints and collages add color as veils or accents.
“My work is about my interior life and is subjective. Images arise laden with thoughts and sometimes peculiar juxtapositions. I follow these visions and rarely bend to the influence of my surroundings.”
Klain has a BFA in Fine Art from Ohio University. Her work is in many private and public collections in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Mexico, The Dominican Republic, and the USA.
